Description of our Paris studio rental
Côtes de Provence is a large Paris studio rental that measures 250 square feet, perfect for two people who want to be in the center of Paris’ most popular sightseeing attractions yet have a quiet and sunny retreat that evokes the feel of the Paris countryside. Extensive renovations not only brought this quaint gem up to our exacting modern standards, but also revealed an original limestone wall that significantly adds to this property’s character. With a totally modern kitchen and bathroom and high quality furniture, Côtes de Provence provides the ultimate combination of Old World charm and modern luxury in a pretty provencal-style studio. Located only one block from the famous rue Cler market street in the exquisite 7th arrondissement, this Paris studio puts you at the center of Paris’ best highlights. A short stroll in any direction takes you to the Invalides, the Seine, the Musée D’Orsay, the Champs de Mars, and the Eiffel Tower. Surrounded by shops, trendy restaurants, pâtisseries, and more, this totally remodeled, exquisitely decorated, and finely furnished Paris rental is ideal for experiencing everything Paris has to offer.
Step into the courtyard of a small building on rue Malar — through a main door with digital lock then through the second lobby door with digital lock — to find a pretty stone courtyard with only four apartments in total. Our courtyard Côtes de Provence studio rental is just ahead with 3 large windows and window boxes that open onto this quiet courtyard.
Enter the apartment to a beautiful modern kitchen on your left, featuring a large window opening onto the courtyard on the left wall. To your right is the bathroom and straight ahead is the large living room/bedroom with two more large windows overlooking the courtyard on the left wall.
The kitchen has been totally redesigned to maximize its space, and it has been decorated in beige, white, and chrome to enhance the natural light from the window and give it an open, airy feel. The white tile on the walls shows off the new cream cabinets and countertops. One countertop, cleverly supported by two chrome poles, serves as an intimate breakfast bar with its two raised barstools. The kitchen has been outfitted with modern yet space-saving appliances, including a two-burner electric stove, under-the-counter refrigerator, and combination microwave/convection oven, as well as a toaster, coffee maker, and kettle. Storage space was further improved by mounting a stainless steel utensil rack on the wall above the stove and sink. You’ll find everything you need to prepare gourmet meals including porcelain dishware and all the cooking accessories you need to whip up a great meal.
Paris and la vie Parisienne revolves around food. The advantage to staying in this wonderful quartier is that there are four open markets nearby — you can shop for the freshest ingredients and already prepared dishes daily and enjoy dining at home in your charming and romantic apartment. Having a kitchen and a dining area are among the many advantages of staying in a Paris apartment rental, as you don’t have to get dressed up and go out for every meal. The French have mastered the art of ready-prepared dishes and foods, so you don’t even have to cook to enjoy great French cuisine. Everyone loves buying fresh warm croissants at the pâtisserie on the corner each morning, or choosing a special dessert after lunch or dinner. Rue Cler, one of the most famous market streets in Paris, is right around the corner and features some of the best greengrocers, pâtisseries, delicatessens, wine merchants, cheese merchants, fish shops, butchers, and even health food stores in Paris. You will delight in stepping out for fresh croissants and baguettes every morning, still warm from the oven.
The stylishly decorated bathroom is to the right off the kitchen. It features a shower stall, toilet, and a sink recessed into a long limestone countertop surrounded by white tiled walls. Find a circular mirror above the sink, and below the counter is a clothes washing machine. A drying rack is also provided, along with a hair dryer, iron, and ironing board. Adding to your comfort is a heated towel rack for the plush towels we provide.
Step through the kitchen into the living room/bedroom. This room is quite large for a studio apartment, with enough room for a queen-size bed, chest of drawers, writing desk, and living room. The bed can also be used for seating, allowing ample room for invited guests. Two large windows on the left wall overlooking the courtyard provide loads of light, assisted by the oversized mirror hung on the opposite wall. The pièce de résistance is the original limestone wall discovered during the renovation. Paris was built on limestone and much of it was excavated for the old buildings that remain. Interestingly, you can explore some of the limestone caves in Les Catacombes in Paris. Now fully exposed, the warm colors of the limestone add a dramatic touch to this room and is further enhanced by the darker hardwood floor and the antique-style white and cream furniture.
The chairs and small tables can easily be rearranged to suit one’s pleasure, perhaps to catch the best light from the windows for reading or to form a cozy nook for intimate dining. The room is completed with framed art on the walls, a simple but elegant metal chandelier on the ceiling, and an antique-style curtain rod with sheer curtain forming a headboard above the bed. Entertainment is provided by high-definition cable TV with DVD and DivX player, a high fidelity stereo, and ADSL and Wifi Internet connection for catching up on your emails. We also provide a small selection of music and English movies, or bring your own, as it’s wonderful to relax at home after a busy day. We have installed a mobile air conditioner for your added comfort, a rarity in Paris.
Our guests tell us time and again that the amenities, comforts, and locations of our apartments have given them wonderful memories for themselves and their children. Good Paris apartments in the best neighborhoods cost significantly more to buy, but are worth every penny. Not only do you have beautiful living rooms, kitchens, and conveniences such as washers — you are in a safe and lively neighborhood where you will enjoy wonderful meals with family and friends in our apartments. Dining chez soi represents the biggest savings of all, because paying for three meals/day in Paris (yes all hotels charge for simple breakfasts) can really add up — especially when restaurants charge up to $15 for a bottle of Coke. When you shop in our local markets for pre-prepared dishes and fresh ingredients, you will save significantly — and enjoy 3-star dining in beautiful surroundings in our apartments.
We think you will love staying in our Paris studio rental. The space, location, and amenities mean you will have a wonderful, relaxing, and unforgettable stay in the City of Light!
And we go a great deal further in ensuring your total comfort and relaxation with friendly people who will welcome you and explain how all of the appliances operate, give Paris tips and advice, answer any questions you may have. Besides that, we send you a 40-page information pack well before you arrive, so you can hit the ground running.
On-site management and services like these may not be obvious when you shop and compare Paris apartment rentals, but they can make all the difference in your stay. And we leave several Paris guidebooks and other information on the neighborhood for you to peruse during your stay.
This is a non-smoking Paris studio rental and, sorry, but no pets are allowed.
Please let me know if you have any other questions about our Paris vacation rental or if we can help in any way. We think your stay at www.parisperfect.com will bring you memories of a lifetime!
